He who made man said; “it is not good for man to be alone”. He wants you, your neighbor and Himself to be united. You cannot be truly happy in isolation. I am created for you and you for me. We need each other. No one does it alone. There is no one who does not have someone that helps him. Our Maker made woman from man and every man came out of a woman. Woman takes her being from man; man takes his well-being from woman. DON’T BE ALONE. I need you, and you need me.
If I have learned anything during my journey on planet earth, it is that people need one another. All of us are people who need people. Any time you are going away from people, you are going to people. If people are our problem, they are also solution to our problem. The fact of our dependence on other people is overwhelmingly clear. We always need other human beings, some of whom are not reliable, but we must need them as they are. Even divinity needs humanity. The presence of people is essential. About the time we are tempted to think that we can handle things all alone, we run into obstacles and need assistance. We discover all over again that we are not nearly as self-sufficient as we thought. People around you remain the essential ingredient of life. When we forget that, a strange thing happens: we start treating people like inconveniences instead of assets. We discover our role in life through our relationship with others. A link is not a chain, but several links unite to form a chain. It takes a diamond to cut another diamond.
If you are selling dog foods, know that dogs don’t buy dog food; it is people that buy. So treat them well even if they are house boys, and you will sell your dog foods well. There is never any good reason to look down on any human being no matter who or what you are. Almost the whole of our actions and desires are bound up with the existence of other human beings; man is a social animal. We become more productive in unity. Team work divides the effort and multiplies the effect. A zero by itself amounts to nothing but it can add a lot to what already exists if placed properly. Don’t be alone. Every sheep that wanders from its path and its companion becomes food for the wolf.
Synergy cannot be over emphasized, but it is almost impossible without love. Love is an integral part of our existence. It is in fact the essence of our being. It is the power that binds us together. I hold a doctrine to which I owe everything: that love is the purpose of creation and the joy of it. He who has no love in his heart has the worst kind of heart disease. In fact, he is out of alignment and his entire life will be in disarray.
Truth and love are two of the most powerful things in the world; and when they both go together in man as in the Eternal Father, they cannot be withstood. A life characterized by sincere and practical love is a power in the world that critics cannot gainsay. It is in loving, not in being loved that the heart is blessed. Love is the beauty of the soul. All good feelings come from love, and all negative feelings come from lack of love. When you feel good you give out more love. And the more love you give, the more you receive. To love abundantly is to live abundantly, and to love forever is to live forever. Among all humans, the only ones who will live forever are not the ones who go to church or worship in the mosque. Not even the miracle worker or the pious, but the ones who have love, because only LOVE endures for forever. All the labours of this life end in nothingness if eternal life is not gained. We came into this world with love and it is the only thing you can take while leaving if you still have it. We may be able to quote the scripture well and well versed in theology. Even our prayer life may be superb. But if we can’t get along with those around us, our faith remains defective; being on better terms with angels than with men means that something is wrong with our religion. If you want true peace in your heart, if you would know the joy that comes with being right with the Almighty Father, you must also be right with those around you. You should grow in favour both with heaven and with earth. Let heaven and earth reconcile in you. LOVE IS THE ANSWER.
The summary of all religion is love and if you are a person of love, you have found the best religion. What is wrong with our society is the scarcity of love. One thing humans don’t have enough, and will never get or give enough is love. He who loves has fulfilled the law and so is in liberty. This is why I only know my friends, I don’t know my enemies, and I don’t want to know them. This is to avoid mind poisoning and loss of my liberty. He who loves not is in self imprisonment. Love is the master key that opens the gates of happiness. If you want to be happy, stay around those that you love. The more you love, the better your life gets. Love is a great thing; The only thing that makes burdens light and bears all that is hard with ease. It carries a weight without feeling it and makes all that is bitter sweet and pleasant to the taste. Whenever your friend’s place begins to appear far to you, it is a sign that your love is weak, and the friendship is a moribund one. Love is the oil that lubricates the machinery of our lives. Love starts with loving yourself and perfects with loving those who hate you. Once you have learned to love, you have learned to live. Love is life and if you miss it, you miss life. A heart that loves is always young. The moment you have this extraordinary thing called love in your heart and feel the depth, the delight and the ecstasy of it, you will discover that for you the world is transformed. But there is this evil that I have seen under the sun; it is that those who love more are more often misunderstood and hated in this age of wickedness. It is sad when you are not loved, but it is sadder when you are not able to love. Love is the greatest weapon of the kingdom of heaven. Many waters (troubles) cannot quench it. If you cannot find love in yourself, where else do you think you can find it? Love cannot be found where it doesn’t exist, nor can it be hidden where it truly does. Many talk about it but only a few have known what true love is. It is wisdom to love. None is more foolish than the man who dwells in hatred. If you have love, your foolish actions will be wiser than the wisdom of men.
I mean LOVE, not that unspiritual emotion because in it is usually some trace of natural inclination, our own wishes, the hope for repayment and the desire to further our own ends. This natural love, when it fails in its advances becomes the tragedy of human race. The disappointment of self ambition turns love to hatred, and praise to censure and even murder. This recalcitrant animal called man can be very dangerous at times. Divine love is the solution to human problem. It comes from the heart of the Father, who is LOVE. Love does not need to be perfect, it just needs to be true.
Whatever you do in this life you must do with other people. To be successful therefore, you must learn good relationship based on love. A good heart is the secret of a good life. Love is the law of life both in heaven and on earth. When a person is said to be converted, if love is not the ruling feature in his character, he is not truly converted. A person who is truly converted lives by the law of love and a person living by this “law of the Spirit of life” often does things that are foolish in the eyes of men. I call it the foolishness of love. A true doctrine is one bent on bringing all mankind under the influence of love. Let love be the flag that flies high from the castle of your heart, showing who is the resident there. As a smile of recognition from a little child when it looks on the mother’s face tells of the dawning of intelligence, so does graceful love show that divine life has begun in the spirit of any human. If you really fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, “you shall love your neighbor as yourself”, you do well. Love is a treating as equal. The lover treats the loved as his equal. There is no hierarchy in love. This does not in any way encourage disrespect. While grace flows downward, let respect flow upward.
The central theme of all the instructions given to us in the scriptures is all about relationship. We were placed here on earth to perfect our vertical and horizontal relationships. To learn what is true in order to do what is right is a life time project. The more we learn and practice, the better we become. No learning has taken place until life changes or improves. Unless your life shows a corresponding growth in righteousness, increased knowledge and better understanding will only mean a more severe judgment. There is a close connection between affection and understanding. If we love evil, we cannot understand that which is good. If our heart is foul, the eyes will be dim. Those who see the Holy One cannot love unholy things. We should learn more how to be good and not how to have goods. Better is poor diet with love than chicken soup with hatred. Being good is better than having goods. Values are more important than valuables. He that is good is free though he be a slave; he that is evil is a slave though he be a king. This is the bane of our today’s educational system. Our schools are turning out graduates that are morally bankrupt-people of abandoned morals. This is not true education. Education that does not train the heart is dangerous. Intellectual education influences only the head, true education does not only teach us how to make a living but also how to live. It is a lot easier to accumulate big certificates and goods than to be a good human being.
I advice our students to try and get truly educated, and not to be unlearned graduates. There are many people who have passed through the school system but they are no educated. Study to show yourself approved to all. A graduate that does not need to be ashamed, boldly defending your certificate. Get the knowledge not just certificate. To achieve this, let many things in the campus catch your sight but let one thing only catch your mind – your studies.
The most important thing a student should learn is to learn to learn. There is no difference between a person who cannot read and a person who can read but does not read. The proof of desire is in the pursuit. You have no right to a success you have not pursued. You should not pass an examination you did not study and sit for. Always pursue that which is good. We know that perfection is not obtainable but he who pursues perfection achieves excellence. We don’t praise perfection; it is nowhere to be found. In this life, perfection is not a reality but an intention. We only praise good effort. PURSUE PERFECTION!
The law of love is or should be the guiding principle of our morality and social relations. Love moves man to seek justice and to be sensitive to injustice. Love does no harm to a neighbor! Therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law. Grace is love unveiled; love in action. It is love doing things. We can grow in it. We can let love dominate us. We can grow in love until our whole life is saturated with it; until every motive will be born of it, until every word or action will have it’s fragrance. Be rooted and grounded in love; dwelling in an atmosphere of love assures divine presence. Let all things be done with love.
