City Of Fun-Fair

Written by mitziyonng

Men are governed by pleasure principle. We want to be happy and to remain so. We want happiness that is centered in the experience of pleasure and avoidance of pain and discomfort. But this pursuit is in conflict with nature. The whole constitution of things runs contrary to it. This strive for pleasure is threatened by sufferings caused by man’s own body which is moving towards death and decomposition, the outer world and his relations with his fellows. Any quest for constant happiness in this life is bound to fail. Man is battling between pleasure principle and reality principle.
Be you warned against the cares of this life and the deceitfulness of riches. While facing your struggles don’t be lost in the world. Don’t let Caesar seize you. Don’t destroy your posterity because of prosperity. This world is a city of fun-fair. The inhabitants are lovers of pleasure. They love the created more than the Creator. Intoxicated by the wine of Babylon, they worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone and wood. Don’t be deceived. Success has so much been misconstrued that many now spell it with the sign of the dollar($) (Success) and so they push, drive, trample, climb and grasp, not knowing that success is more than a climb to the top of a heap. A good success is one that is recognized by heaven and will be honoured hereafter. Don’t join the “make-it-to-the-top club” just by any means. Life is a competition and we must compete. Let us compete according to the rules and win the trophy honourably. Any success that you cannot tell the story, is not genuine. While seeking to be great on earth, don’t forget to seek to be great in the kingdom of heaven. He who has no money is poor; he who has nothing but only money and the things money can buy is poorer and should be pitied. Success in money-making is not always a good criterion of real success in life. Even though it was hunger that brought the prodigal son home, his father first clothed him properly with the best robe of righteousness, ring and sandals before giving him food. Beware of prosperity of fools.
In the days when the earth was young; when women still had eye-lids, and men had value for good name more than money; In those days, rulers had the fear of the Supreme Judge and criminals lived in fear of justice. Our forefathers planted in hope and the earth yielded her full strength. In those days, crimes were few and prison yards were few and half empty. Modern science and drugs were not, yet people lived long and healthy. They did not have many churches but saints were many and people heard the voice of their Creator, and heaven was near to the earth. Consequently, people lived in love and unity. Modern education was lacking yet people had knowledge of what was right or wrong. Back then, death was a scarce news and children were afraid of corpses. Today we rejoice with Mr death when it strikes. Instead of mourning, we organize death festivals with much eating and drinking, music and dancing, and wearing of different uniforms to celebrate death’s victory. Some even give out invitation cards and exchange gift items in honour of death. Death has become a thing of merriment. Who has done this to us?
In the past, criminals were not celebrated and the youths desired righteousness. Glory was gained only through honest achievements. In those days, theft and adultery were taboo and chiefs were not thieves. Even traditional rulers were not tradition ruin(ers), and the politicians were not pollute(cians). The courts and judges were the hope of the common man. Justice was not a commodity then. Lawyers did not defend criminals, for he who defends a criminal is a bigger criminal. Policemen were not licensed armed robbers in those days but true law enforcement agents. Every husband knew that his wife was flesh of his own flesh and bone of his own bone, and wives lived in security and submission; and divorce was seldom heard of.
What has happened to our society? The faithful man has perished from the earth, and there is no one upright among men. They all lie in wait for blood; every man hunts his brother with a net. That they may successfully do evil. The prince and the judge take bribe, and the great man utters his evil desire; so they plan together. The best of them is like a brier; and the most upright is sharper than thorn edge. We behold the desolations of many generations. Our whole music has turned to war song. Now people are apprehensive of their lives. Corruption has issued driving license to blind people. We have broken our water pot and mudded the stream. From lions down to ants, rats, cockroaches and mosquitoes are fighting against us, because of our lawlessness. Sin has become a science. Rebellion has struck its root deep into the human heart. Through the temptations of the devil and the unkindness of the ungodly who are his seed, hostility of man and violence is now an art, and man’s inhumanity to man a pleasure. We are drunk with the wine of corruption. The owl polluted the air and asked his people to clap for him. They belligerently told him that they do not clap for evil. But we clap and sing for evil, and thereby encourage the evil doer to do more. Oh what a generation that is proud of criminals, and crown those who killed their fathers and mothers.
When the earth was still in her beauty, children were obedient to their parents, and the beauty of women was not the one of artificial hairs, artificial eye-lids (eye lashes), painting of different colours in the face, artificial nails and artificial complexion. Now everything has gone artificial even worship. In those days ladies did not wear leggings that make them appear like people that just returned from an international mermaid conference. In those days, as in these days also, men neither plait hair nor wear earrings except those who serve Jezebel.
Today, sex seems to be an idol that demands worship from all. The danger is that one unlawful sexual intercourse can destroy one’s destiny. Sex was created for marriage, not for any other relationship. Joseph, the son of Jacob, could have destroyed his career had he yielded to the demand of Portiphar’s wife, “Come and lie with me”. He would have gone into oblivion or extinction if he said yes to that which himself called great-wickedness. Many ribald comedians are now “apostles of sex”. Men of corrupt mind and unclean lips. Let these erotic agents be ready to be judged for working for Satan, the devil or begin to speak only wholesome words. The shepherds have made the people to go astray. They have sinned against the Habitation of justice and the Hope of our fathers. “Thou shall not steal”, and “Thou shall not commit adultery” are no more seen as being relevant. Adultery– (the weakness of many strong men, and the foolishness of the wise) has defiled the land. So, now, mothers murder babies in their womb. For convenience, the seed of life is destroyed without regard to the sanctity of life. But whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding; He who does it destroys his own soul. Wounds and dishonor he will get. Nothing works idiocy out of a man than sexual urge that has gone out of control. Your eyes shall see strange women, and your heart shall utter perverse things. In all religions and traditions, adultery is abomination. Even if it’s punishment tarries, it must come. Do not covet another’s beauty, it leads to spiritual ruin. Keep away from what has been kept from you.
Our world has so much decreased in physical strength and mental power; and rotten in moral worth, that even criminals are called blessed and leaders are oppressing the led. Stupid people have been made famous. We live in a world where the intelligent must keep quick so that the stupid and proud people will not be offended. Oh what an ichabod, what a tohu-bohu. We are now as in the days before the flood when the thoughts of men’s heart were continually evil, and wickedness was upon the face of the whole earth. We wear pride as necklace and violence as garment. The wicked prowl on every side because vileness is exalted among the sons of men. To do evil is like sport to a fool. The unjust do not have shame. Shamefacedness is useful as it helps to prevent rascality.
John Bunyan, author of pilgrim’s progress advised his children to spend at least a few minutes every day in thinking of their own funeral — not to make them morbid or sad but rather that they might “be ready when it comes”. After death comes judgment.
It is time for the saints to get busy and bring our “naked” generation to Him who is able to cast out legions of devils and cause her to get her right mind, put on “clothes” and sit at His feet, the sinner’s only Friend and Helper, that heals both the guilty and the afflicted. If those who are called “the salt of the earth” and “the light of the world” are doing their work well, corruption and darkness would not be prevalent as it is today. If we can prophesy the WORD to the driest bones, they could become a great army. Whenever I read about the past saints, I wonder if there is any saint on earth today, unless the Chief Shepherd has lessened the standard of sainthood. Be saved from this crooked generation. The vestige of the church is dwelling in the boundary of light and darkness. While others are feasting and playing, let us fast and pray until we break forth into new and higher dimensions in the Spirit. The Creator is seeking men and women willing to be His voice, His hands, containers of His power and dispensers of His love. He is waiting for people to step forward and say: “our times are in Your hands_ we trust You with our lives.”
Let us talk of remedy. The season for questions is over, the time for answers has come. We need a Guide. We are sometimes willing to do right but do not know which of the two roads to follow. If we follow His word, we shall not miss the right road of life. Make time to read THE ETERNAL LAW BOOK. “My people perish for lack of knowledge”. What is your vocation? Say you are a lawyer; if you spend the same amount of time you spend on your law books, and court cases and judgments, on the Creator’s law book, and His judgments, what kind of lawyer would you be? What kind of medical doctor would you be if you make time to study about Him who “Fearfully and wonderfully made” our bodies? How beautiful it would be if you will pay heed to that Great Physician who said, “LEARN OF ME”. Let the carpenters learn of the CARPENTER OF NAZARETH, and the builders learn of Him who “Built all things”. Blessed is the farmer who will plant the Seed of the woman in his heart, that he may harvest eternal life. Cursed is he who puts personal interest above duty. “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old path, where is the good way, and walk therein, and you shall find rest for your souls”. The road you follow will determine where you will end
WHERE ARE THE PROPHETS? THE FEARLESS REFORMERS !
We need preachers who will preach to us more of righteousness than prosperity. Let them teach us to sing the song of Moses and the song of the LAMB; songs of saving grace. Maybe, we will hear and repent like Nineveh and the merciful Father will forgive us and heal our land. What made the difference between Rahab and Delilah, and between the two criminals crucified with the Son of man at Golgotha was repentance. The power of repentance is great. It was it that changed the fate of Mary Magdalene. Everyone has something to repent of; do your own repentance today.
We need teachers with pertinent truth, not experts in historic truth. We don’t want those who know where Prophet Moses was buried, and what Adam should have done to prevent Cain from killing his brother, Abel, but do not know the solutions to today’s problems. They neither know where there brother is living nor where their sister is lying sick in bed. Pertinent truth is that truth which the Creator has designed for this particular hour in human history. It is the truth that delivers from problems of today and gives strength in this hour of toil and tears.

In these our days, men are out for their own interests, and lie about everything everyday. How could a man be sure of anything in a world like this? Life is no more as happy as it should be. “what shall I do to be saved”?, cries the human heart, and receives hundreds of answers, getting him more confused. Oh, if only a man could be sure. Men are hungry for the words that will set their minds at rest. They want the TRUTH.
All the labours of this life end in nothingness if eternal life is not gained. The Almighty says; “A son honours his father, and a servant his master. If then I am The Father, where is My honour? And if Am a master, where is My fear”? Learn to fear your Maker and keep His commandments for this is the whole duty of man. Beware of mammonized Rev. daddies and mummies, prophets and prophetesses; agents of the mermaid kingdom. They have not themselves experienced salvation and cannot help you get it. They are only interested in building earthly kingdoms because they have no part in the kingdom of heaven. They are co-workers with the prince of darkness; appearing as angels of light to deceive; wolves in sheep’s clothing. They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children. They have forsaken the right way and gone astray, following the way, the doctrine and error of Balaam son of Beor who loved the wages of unrighteousness.

We preach liberty not liberalism. Relativism has become the order of the day in our time to the extent that godliness has been reduced to the view of the individual practitioner or group. The interpretation of the scripture has been subjected to personal or denominational views to the extent that there seems not to be any more absolute; but there is. The Living Word is the same yesterday, today and forever. It is an unchanging truth in a changing world. Let the saint of the Most High follow the truth, not what is trending. This is no time to join them or follow the trend, not caring about the force behind the tide. One who gets a glimpse of the glories above cannot feel at home in this world any more. “Thy kingdom come” will be his constant cry.

Perilous times are here, be wise. Wisdom is basically a practical thing. It is the ability to deal sagaciously with facts as they relate to life and conduct. Wisdom has to work itself out in conduct. Wisdom can also be defined as skill in making thought issue in the appropriate action. It is the art of forming the correct plan to gain the desired result. It should be practical not theoretical. It is not limited to the realm of ideas. It is the ability to take ideas and put them into action. In conclusion, wisdom is the fear of the Creator. The man who walks in fellowship with his Maker is the man who has found true wisdom. Know that every believer has eternal life, but not all shall enter the kingdom of heaven. Unlike eternal life, kingdom of heaven is obtained through one’s own righteousness. Eternal life is obtained by faith but the kingdom of heaven is prepared for overcomes; men of violence take it by force. Eternal life is granted equally to all, but in the kingdom of heaven there are the great and the least. Eternal life is a gift but the kingdom of heaven is a reward according to one’s work. Labor to enter into the kingdom of heaven. Work out your own salvation. Strive to enter.
Where is the prodigal son? Tell him to come without delay. You cannot afford to continue to live any longer in Shechem. Take away the gods you have and bury them under the tree of Calvary, and go back to Bethel. Know that in every age there is given to men their days of light and privilege, a probationary time in which they may become reconciled to their Maker. But there is a limit to this grace. Mercy may plead for years and be slighted and rejected; but there comes a time when the mercy makes her last plea. The heart becomes hardened that it ceases to respond to the Holy Spirit. Then the sweet voice entreats the sinner no longer and reproofs and warning cease. Only eternal doom then awaits the sinner. The only option before you now is repentance. The hour of hope and pardon is past passing; the cup of Heaven’s long deferred wrath is almost full. REPENT or you PERISH. When sin is forgiven, greatest sorrow is ended and truest pleasure begins. Blessed is the man whose sins are forgiven.

Oh, that I die the death of a righteous man, and let my last end be like his. For He shall go his way till the end, for he shall rest and will arise to his inheritance at the end of the days.
