“For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle,” (Zech. 14:2)
All over the world, we are witnessing tumults, political unrest, quest for military supremacy and unprecedented arms built-up! It is obvious that wars are caused primarily by one nation infringing on the sovereignty and integrity of another nation. Revolutions spring up over racial misunderstandings, religious differences, political disagreements – which explode into violence! It is becoming clearer by the day that this present world civilization is fast coming to an end. With the staggering arms built-up by the world’s super powers and more nations struggling to manufacture and acquire more deadly missiles rdand the nuclear weapon; certainly, the 3 world war fuse now shortens. We are now witnessing terrorism and violence all over the world as never before, since the existence
of mankind upon the face of the earth. Terrorist attack by the Islamic fanatics has already become a global issue. A tide that has defied restraint! All these, coupled with the global political unrest, the world is now on the brink of human annihilation. A total destruction of life on this earth is imminent, except a special divine intervention of the Almighty Creator is quickly ushered in – in our time.
But, on top of all these, there’s a matter that demands everyone’s attention and focus. It’s about ISREAL and the land of Israel. Israel has been the central focus of the Bible/the end time prophecies. The ancient prophets of Israel predicted that Israel will surely come under pressure (at this end time) from world powers! Israel has been and will always be the focal point of Bible prophecies, especially concerning the second coming of the Messiah, the 3rd world war and the end of the world. It is high time our readers understand the serious need to focus their attention on the events taking place in the land of Israel. No student, scholar or any newsman can intelligently evaluate the situation in the Middle-East without an understanding of the motivations underlying the actions of each nation in this critical region.
Emotions and tension always run high in the Middle-East mostly bothering on:
(1) Original location of the ancient Jewish temple in Jerusalem.
(2) Rebuilding the Jewish Temple at the Temple mount in Jerusalem.
(3) The AL-AQSA Mosque also known as the third holiest site for the Sunni Islam located in the old city of Jerusalem.
(4) Controversy over who owns the land of Israel and the ancient city Jerusalem.
(5) Claims and counter claims over the land of Israel: Jerusalem’s
Temple Mount (the centre of Conflict) and the lands surrounding Israel.
Do they belong to the Palestinians, the Arab nations or the Israelites?
Now, a resolution by the nations of the world, the UNESCO, is tended towards dividing the city, the land of Israel and parting the land. Since the greatest number of the nations of the world are against Israel in their vote and their resolution: the situation is definitely going to lead to a serious pressure against Israel from the world powers. This pressure on Israel could intensify to a world agreement to settle the dilemma once and for all, a situation that will provoke the 3rd and last world war.
As this happens, the world will be prepared to witness the greatest showdown on earth …the battle of the nations …the coming world war … the war of Armageddon! (See Rev. 16:15).
Then shall the Almighty Yahweh intervene by sending Yahshua the Messiah to this world; to enforce peace on earth in a turbulent world, a world in troubles – and establish His Kingdom!
Then shall Yahweh go forth to fight against those nations as when he fought in the day of battles…Zechariah the prophet predicted this in the Book of Zechariah Chapter 12, verse 1-3.
“The prophecy of the Word of Yahweh for Israel, saith Yahweh, which stretched forth the heavens and layeth the foundations the earth, and formed the Spirit of man within him. Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about when they shall be in siege both against Judah and Jerusalem.
And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it verse 9 says, “ And it shall come to pass in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem”. “And He gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Ar-megiddo (Rev. 16: 16”.
The above prophecy has not yet fulfilled at anytime in the history of Israel. It is still future.
Therefore, let us awake in our hearts, lift up our eyes and watch the prophetic trends of our time as they unfold; especially as it concerns Israel.
“ You do well to heed these sure Words of prophecies as unto a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the day star arise in your hearts” (2Peter 1:19).
Yahshua the Messiah warned, “…can ye not discern the signs of the times?” Let us not be like the Pharisees who were too short-sighted to see the time of the Messiah. We must never put ourselves in danger of committing the same sin of complacency and ignorance.
“For yourself know perfectly that the day of Yahweh so cometh as a thief in Night.
For when they shall say peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape it.
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are the children of the light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
Therefore, let us not sleep as do others; but let us WATCH and be sober” (2 Thersa. 5:1-6)”.
