The Great Prophet forewarned, “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon and in the stars: and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity;… men’s hearts failing them, for fear and for looking forward to those things which are coming on the world” (Luke 21:25-26).
Time is running out! This world’s civilization is about to come to an end. A new civilization is about to take place. Something shocking, something amazing, something alarming is about to happen in this world. Every human being small and great, rich or poor, educated or illiterate will be affected. No one can escape it!
What is all this talk about global crisis, global warming, escalating epidemic of incurable diseases, worldwide?
Worse still, air, water and noise pollution, as well as population explosion abound in every nook and cranny of our planet. The dreaded weapons of mass destruction which appear to soon erase mankind from the surface of the earth ironically have become adorable icons in the hands of world powers. If some day, a fool, a maniac, or some accident triggers this kind of war; that is the end of the line for all of us.
What is the current issue that has made the news-line for some time now which also is affecting all of us today, both the poor and rich countries in the world? That is, the Economic Meltdown! What is the way out? What is ahead of us? Is there a real solution to these problems and the increasing distress threatening human existence on earth?
MORE THAN ECONOMIC FACTORS
Let’s face facts! What is happening is much more than just economic causes and effects. Bible prophecies have a lot to say about what is happening in the world today, of which World Leaders, prominent Scientists and Financial Economic Experts would rarely comprehend and analyze even if they know the prophetic issues involved.
“But understand this, that in the later days, there will come times of stress” (II Tim. 3:1 RSV).
There is a reason for the present abnormal economic condition biting the poor and rich nations of the world; including the continuing fear of what’s coming ahead, in the economic and political sectors.
Something is seriously wrong with all the governments in the world. The problem besetting humanity is essentially spiritual in nature; hence the first step towards proffering solution must be spiritual.
The world leaders ought to come together to ask; what does the Almighty Creator, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the whole Universe, who placed man on this earth have in mind about all the troubles of the earth. They should search what Bible prophecy has about the very ugly situations of our time.
WATCH OUT
Some awesome events are soon to transpire on earth. The Bible foretells times of worldwide sorrow, calamity and disaster. But there is a way of escape for all those who are willing to heed the warning. The Economic Meltdown may just be a tip of the iceberg of what is coming ahead! Turn now to your Creator and find refuge in his Name.
